30, flirty and thriving… right??
My 30th birthday is next year and, while I’m really excited about it, there’s this small part of me deep down that’s scared, confused and stressed with what 30 means...
WHY??
What is it about turning 30 that brings with it this pressure of what our lives “should” look like? Of what we “should” have achieved? As if 30 looks the same for everyone.
It’s also got me thinking if what I want is what society is feeding me constantly, or if it’s truly what I want from life.
And so…
I’m creating a collection of portraits that represent female-identifying people in their own space, all aged 30.
I want to highlight how different peoples lives can be when they hit 30. I’ve got friends who have kids and a house, some who are travelling the world, some who are living with their parents, some who are in the early stages of dating etc… The list goes ON.
There’s no one-size-fits-all box, especially these days, and so I want to unpack this stigma and celebrate how different we all are.
